Mission Statement:

Our mission is to provide and advocate for multilingual and multicultural human services that empower individuals and families to lead healthy, productive and self-sufficient lives in the community.

 

History/Goals/Objectives:

In our work to serve youth in Alameda County, we partner with schools, youth centers, Child Protective Services, Probation, and other community-based organizations to provide culturally competent individual and family counseling, group counseling, case management, AOD treatment, child abuse treatment, early intervention services, and parent and caregiver education.  We also have a developmental disability program.

We welcome children and youth of all ethnic and cultural backgrounds, and can also provide services in Mandarin, Cantonese, Japanese, Tagalog, Korean, Mien, Cambodian, Laotian, and Vietnamese.

 

Staff Capacity: 100 full and part-time

We have clinicians working at nine Oakland elementary, middle, and high schools.  We also see children and families at our clinic based in downtown Oakland.  Our AYPAL program provides youth leadership and community organizing opportunities for Oakland youth.
