Program Name: Corners Cafe and Oakland Kiosk Training Program

 

Program Description: The Oakland Kiosk Training Program (OKTP) and Corners Caf‚ Training Program (CCTP) which have an intensive on-the-job training component in addition to the Entrepreneurship and Employment Trainig Program (EETP) course will meet 5 days a week. The Corners Caf‚ on-the job training program serves 50 youth per year and is a 3 step program where youth are enrolled in a culinary course via community college, take the EETP course, which will meet twice a week and then are placed in job interns. The OKTP will serv youth that are in the foster care system and are recruited through the Alameda County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) program.  These youth will learn the about the retail business while operating a clothing and general wares kiosk in a city of Oakland building. The CASA youth will also be required to attend an EETP class on a weekly basis to learn basic business skills, this EETP course will run for the year

Program Schedule

The Cafe is open on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8AM-7PM.  on Wednesdays we are open from 8AM-4PM  We also serve Sunday Brunch from Noon-4PM    The Kiosk is open M-F from 10AM-4PM
