Program Name: Motivating the Teen Spirit

 

Program Description: Motivating the Teen Spirit (MTS) consists of nineteen different activities and is based on a learn-by-doing process that grabs and holds the attention of today's teenagers.  The key activities include exercises on self-esteem, the power of communication and integrity.    Participants reported significant improvement in the areas of communication, anger management, and self-esteem.  The graduation ceremony includes parents, family members, staff, and youth advocates.

Capacity to Deliver Services: There are 3 certified facilitators supported by 7 adult volunteers and 3 youth volunteers to accommodate up to 90 students.

Total number students (per school site): 600

 

Contract Fee Schedule: For $66,500 we would be able to serve 600 students over the school year at weekend workshops.

Instructor Cost/hour: $75 per hour
