Program Name: Library School Outreach

 

Program Description: All Oakland Public Libraries welcome class visits by regular school classes, after school programs, summer campes, etc. to enjoy a story time, conduct research, and check out library collections (books, CDs, DVDs, etc.)  Children's Services Librarian visit school classrooms to do book talk, discuss library programs, bring reading or learning activities, etc.

Program Locations: All Oakland Public Libraries have Children's Services Librarians who visit classes or community centers per schedule.

Program Schedule

Afterschool and nights Monday through Friday. Monday through Saturday during the summer.

Duing library open hours, we offer special programs, scheduled visits, workshops, family reading times, story hours, summer reading games and programs, etc.
