Program Name: Youth Brigade
Program Description: The Youth Brigade Program provides the personal and social support that Fruitvale youth need to help sustain healthy development and avoid high-risk behaviors through peer education, parent and community involvement. Over the next two years, 30 dedicated youth will attend three meetings a week consisting of sports and nutrition education, transitional planning, comprehensive life skills training and individual mentoring sessions. Two youth retreats will further enhance their leadership skills and provide social support. Through community actions, they will educate 600 community members.
