Program Name: Youth REP

Program Description: Youth In Focus offers Youth REP, youth-led action Research, Evaluation, and Planning. Through a step by step process, Youth REP enables youth to examine and take action on a issue of concern identified by the youth. This process successfully taps the unrealized potential of 'untraditional' youth leaders. While the process is very flexible, the usual Youth REP project runs from 6 to 9 months, with youth meeting for at least 3 hours a week. As a training organization, Youth In Focus also provides coaching and support in order to build the capacity of adults in participating organizations to facilitate the Youth REP project in the future.

Youth REP requires a set group of students who will engage in the process for the designated period of time. The precise number of days per week and hours, as well as the number of students would depend on the needs of the participating organization and youth.

Contract Fee Schedule: The unsubsidized cost of a full Youth REP project is approximately $20,000. We work with interested partners to secure grant funding to enable us to work with youth most placed at risk.
